Babs Reingold

Venezuela-born American artist Babs Reingold creates sculptures, drawings, and installations focusing on beauty, the environment and poverty. Reingold has an extensive showing history including 17 solo exhibitions and over 75 group exhibitions ranging from museums, universities, alternative spaces and galleries.

Solo exhibits in museums and galleries include New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Savannah, St. Petersburg FL, Jersey City and Buffalo NY. Museum exhibits include the Newark Museum NJ, Jersey City Museum, Albright-Knox Buffalo NY, Burchfield Penney Buffalo NY, Tampa Museum and Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg.

She has work in museum and private collections throughout the United States including: The Newark Museum, NJ, Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg, FL, The Burchfield Penney Art Museum Buffalo, NY and Savannah College of Art and Design.

Awards include: a Florida state fellowship, two fellowships from Pinellas County and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fiscal Sponsorship. Atlantic Center for the Arts residency and a nominee for the Joan Mitchell Fellowship.

She lives and works in St Petersburg FL with viewing space in New York City.

Mark Ormond
Mark is currently working as a writer, guest curator and art advisor.

In 2019, after more than a decade he stepped down from his position as Director and Curator of Exhibitions for the campus galleries at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. For twenty years beginning in 1999, he taught courses about the Fine Art Business at the College. In 2000, he became an independent curator, consultant, writer and lecturer. He was Associate Director of Greene Contemporary in Sarasota from 2006 to 2008. From 1978 until 1999, he worked with numerous art museums. In Miami, he was Director of the Center for the Fine Arts (now the Pérez Art Museum Miami) from 1990 to 1994.

Mark Ormond has written over five hundred articles about art and architecture. He is the author of over thirty-five catalogues, publications and books on art and artists. He has organized, curated, and coordinated the installation and presentation of over two hundred exhibitions for museums and galleries. He has also served on Grant Panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, Andrew M. Mellon Foundation and the Guggenheim Foundation.

Mark Ormond has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania. His Master’s Degree is in Art History and Museum Studies from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He was awarded a Certificate in Museum Management from the Getty Institute at the University of California, Berkeley.
