Aleathia Brown
For artist, Aleathia Brown, creativity is more than a way to share personal expression, it is a path of spirituality, a connection to God, a litmus test by which she gages her growth as a soul. Her vision is a poetic stream of realization that has been conceived by a lifetime of creative meditation, patience and internal strength. Her art is expressed visually, verbally, in a variety of mediums, in performance and didactically Aleathia uses music, color and patterns as cues to calm patrons, encouraging them to find shapes and forms while provoking conversations that tap in on the inner spirit. Inspired by movement, poetry and storytelling, Aleathia's Artworks evoke a visual journey using burlap, canvas, torn paper and mixed mediums that produce bold and brilliant outcomes, thereby fostering new, and sometimes, surprising experiences. Aleathia is a Community Artist, for her connecting and the power of relationships is an allegory fueling creativity beyond the canvas. 2021 Aleathia was the recipient of a City Artist Grant using Visual Art, Poetic Storytelling accompanied by Original Music in a Collaboration. Ms. Brown unveiled her mixed medium collage painting "Saanvi" at the close of her performance at the Kente Royal Gallery Harlem NY. 2022 "Saanvi" sold to the Founder of Girls Nite Live an online program where Aleathia has been teaching Virtual Art Interactive Workshops for professional women to stressmelt during the pandemic.
